Guest okie_tex Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 I've tried searching thru the different posts and really haven't seen any answers on this but I'm guessing there has been talk. I'm in the US and I'm really trying to figure out what phone to purhase next. Currently, I have a sucky Samsung SGH-Q105 on the T-MOBILE network. Personally, I'm not happy with either one of those companies. But, that's not what I'm asking -- if anyone knows when a real SMARTPHONE will be appearing in America, I'd really appreciate the info. The SPV/Tannagers look great and I have a buddy who has one but they seem to be really hard to obtain here and then to get unlocked etc... Are there others besides the SPV/Tannager that will be appearing and sold and supported by the phone providers here in the states? I was thinking of going with Nextel (maybe) and going with the new Blackberry device but I think I'd really like a SmartPhone instead of those. Any info ... ?? Thanks. -ot good site btw... got tons of info

Guest nobznss Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 Naw, SPV's are easy to come by here in the states, though 90% of the time you'll be getting one from the UK. There's a couple ways to go about it. The first is to get on e-bay and check out prices there. They normally have a couple SPV's and one or 2 Tanager's on there. The Tanager's are more than likely located in the Phillipines cause no one in the UK wants to get rid of their e100 yet. But if you really are interested in getting one, give me a PM as I'm thinking about selling my SPV relatively cheap and I'm here in the States.
Guest yoos Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 And all the questions you have related to unlocking the phone or anything else about how the phone works is answered in this website or can be answered if it wasn't asked already...
