A Visual Basic based app? For the smartphone? Surely only for SP2003! BTW, i'm aware that you had a rather large role in the #smartphone channel so i'm not qyuestioning ur intelligence, just think wires are crossed!

Was speaking to Chris about it the other day, he was curious about it too. MS send me beta stuff to test/evaluate and such like, got Visual Studio .net 2004 installed at home :) Had some gubbins on the extras cd for SPV. Theres a bodge job they have done to get VB on current spvs. Punched out a hello world for it in VB (it installs some stuff to the phone to get it to work).

Given up on the VB idea, its too much of an arse, started working on a C based one last night (as well as redoing hamlesh.com).

Man we need internet at home, like badly.

PS: No offence taken at all :o Twas an understandable query.

So u have a bodged way of getting VB runtime files on SPV, interesting! Still probably worth waiting for SP2003 to code in VB. Nice to hear that IRC app is in development though! I'd use it no doubt! :)

I run a chat network (xnet) so I have some interests in this app ;) Its done now :D Written in C++ works, a bit buggy, still testing it out on my SPV E100.

Not giving it out to anyone atm, trying to setup an authentication system on it to prevent it from getting warez'ed to high hell and back ;) Its going to be freeware but I want people who use it to register it.
