App Unlocking Question ???

Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help me with this one...

I just got my new phone today. I have SIM Unlocked it (first time, no hassle :)) and it is now happily working on Virgin. No problems as of yet apart from one little problem I seem to be having app unlocking it. I have the Bootloader 0.98. When I have finished editing the PROVXML files, I remove the phone from the cradle, switch off and hold in Power and Record at the same time. I have my SD card inserted. Then when Card Found is displayed, the 'Press any key to enter bootloader' appears and I keep hold of 'Action' (but let go of the other keys). However, I cannot get into the menu which gives you the option of Erase IPSM Data (option 8 ). Do I Have to hold in the Record, Power AND Action key at the same time on this screen? When should I do it and what keys should I be pressing. Also, which SD card should I insert, my 8MB Orange one or my empty 32MB Verbatim one? Please help, I'm dying to get Doom working...

What you are doing is correct (on the hard reset part) apart from when

you say "keep hold of the Action key" you only need to press and hold

this when prompted to. This just takes practise to get right, but as for

decerting just click on OTA for more information about how to decert via

the orange developers site as it's easier and does not require a hard reset, and reinstall of all your apps and contacts.

Yes but I don't have GPRS enabled (is this important)? and I am on Virgin. I don't have my Orange SIM card so is this important too. P.S.: How much does that cost and could you give me the link. IS there any time limit on this unlock or any catches???

1, you don't need to have GPRS just use the Passthrough option and connect via your PC's internet connection.
