Guest DMF Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 Ive read the forum and made some wavs at 8 bit 11024 frequency... ive put them in the phones sounds dir via activesync as per and they do appear in the settings... but they dont play....... i just get a beep beep ... Anyone got a clue why ? Also - I got this off eBay - nice phone. does it support polyphonic ringtones ? Midi etc ? Thanks....
Guest DMF Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 Ok, sorted the WAV's, they needed to be Pulse Code Modulated (PCM) - still lost on the midi stuff tho....
Guest Brody Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 The phone doesn't support polyphonic ring tones but why would you want to if u can play wav files?! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest DMF Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 I wouldnt - just wanted to know because im trying to figure out exactly what this great phone is capable of.... I hear it can stream radio.... ive yet to discover how to browser the net and use it as a GPS yet.... getting there.
Guest Brody Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 It doesn't work as a gps! It has gprs! that is how it connects to the internet, you'll need it activated on your account if u wanna get on the internet or use messenger. This site'll teach u all u need to know :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest DMF Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 So theres like roadmaps n stuff you can buy so you can use this in the car ? You dont really post here using your SPV do you ? HELL FIRE !! - whats the speed of the net access on these things anyway - last thing i used even close was WAP and that was like S----LLL---OOOO----WWWW
Guest Brody Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Yeah i use my phone! try www.MoDaCo.com/Mobile on your phone :) U can use road maps but not in the sense of GPS. A road map would just be in the sense of an image file until any future applications come out. It does not have GPS, it has GPRS which is an always on connection to the internet and quite different from a GPS system in that it does not provide navigation.
Guest DMF Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 I see - thanks :) yes ive had the GPRS setup now and its working - £3 a MB though WHOA pretty steep lol..... my forum sactually works 100% (appart from the java) i was well impressed, but i think ill setup a little webpage with all the important stuff on i want to acces, just text u iunderstand. i know theres wap, but ive not figured out how to access wap on this yet.
