How do you backup whole phone?

Is it enough to copy all folders/files from the phone to a PC? Is possible to restore it by simple copy in case of hardware swap or so?

No it's not possible to do it that way, but I believe if ever you do need to swap your phone upgrade, hard reset etc

that's the best time to start afresh and and get rid of the clutter :)

As for contacts make sure you sync with Outlook often and if you are Orange you can use Orange Backup.
