E100 not vibrating when receiving sms in silent mode

ive set my phone to silent mode and set all the alarm types to Vibrate and all the volumes to Loud But the damn thing only vibrates when i receive a call, not when i receive an sms!!

Any ideas?

Do you have more than one unread SMS? as the phone will not give a second confirmation

unless you have read your privious messages.

i had a few mms that i couldnt read cos they were sent by a voda but i deleted them and still no vibrate...

Any other ideas?
