Guest arieh Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 When a voicemail had been received and deleted, the phone sometimes fails to register its deletion. This results in the voicemail icon being active at the the top, and the right-hand softkey displaying 'message' (IIRC) on a restart. This has occured several times, but arbitrarily; I haven't been able to deliberately replicate it. FIX: have somebody leave you another voicemail, and delete it. Hopefully, this time the deletion signal will make it from the network to the phone, clearing the icon.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 This is an old problem with Orange and not the phone, the other solution is to phone Orange and ask them to reset from their end. Also when deleting the message make sure you hear the confermation first before hanging up other wise it will happen again. Moved to Help and Advice
Guest Stella Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 I repeatedly had this problem and always phoned orange (150). After a while they told me once you've listened to your Vmail stay on the phone for an extra ten seconds and the Icon will disapear, works every time. 8)
