Smartphone does not load... hangs on the welcome screen...

Hey Guys... I need your thoughts to help out a friend of mine.

After turning the phone "on", the phone hangs on the "welcome screen".

Know when you turn the phone on you get 2 screens? 1st is the welcome screen then next you get the "smartphone 2002" screen... the phone hangs on the welcome screen and just stays there.

No registry settings have been changed... no applications installed.

Any thoughts?

Tried a hard reset?

Thanks... got it fixed... 1st hard rest did not work but when we did it the 2nd time, that did the trick
