Guest Will Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Ok due to a lot of people not really understanding this. the autodecerter works for older builds (and now checks build before starting). If it says it does not work with your build, you will have to use the OTA decerting method, sorry. :) IF you want to mirror this appliction, please email or PM me, so i can keep you up to date.. and also PLEASE acknowledge me and modaco as the authors. you may think it's cool, but it annoys the heck outa me! You need to log into modaco to see the download (create an account, it's free!!) Willdecerterv3.zip
Guest MonsieurL Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Damn, I got the wrong build (the soft works up to build 12255 and my French Tanager is build 12312) :/ Any other solution for me please? Cos' the official solution doesn't work (I'm not on Orange) and the old school one neither (Obviously, I don't have the timing...) ThanX !
Guest nixy Posted August 24, 2003 Report Posted August 24, 2003 :) Worked first time on bro's E100 Nice work..... :!:
Guest jonnybarfo Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Oh dear; I feel like such a noob. I'm using V3 autodecerter, and after the hard reset I slap my original Orange SPV into the cradle and hit OK. The loop starts, giving me the "couldn't copy" error, which I repeatedly click OK on. The five iterations of the loop are over before ActiveSync's even had a chance to fire up, so I started over and selected a loop count of 500. The thing is, the SPV has finished booting long before ActiveSync gets its act together - because of the hard reset ActiveSync wants me to go through the partnership wizard before it'll connect, which takes even longer. After it eventually gets connected, the file still won't copy (probably because the SPV's finished booting?) Anyone kind enough to help? I'm so confused  For reference, here's my current versions: Version 3.0, Build 12255 Update 1.3.5.6 Many thanks for any help the cognoscenti can offer!
Guest Will Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 It was only designed for the original un updated spv.. the best way to decertify now is the OTA method. Will
Guest pete1312 Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Have Orange moved the OTA Decertifying web page again, or taken it down completely? Whichever link I try to access it, it reports Error 404 - page not found! I'm trying to decert original SPV (Canary) after 1.6 update. Is there any other way to do this other than OTA? Thanks
Guest jonnybarfo Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Ahhhhhh - that would explain it! I only tried the tool as the OTA link seemed to be dead. To whose who it may concern - I have now located the correct, updated OTA link. You can unlock here.
Guest pete1312 Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Many thanks jonnybarfo. Located the new site and it worked!
Guest jonnybarfo Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Pete, glad that worked for you! Not for me though  I need the Action Register app, which this post in the Orange dev forum suggests that I need to fail the unlock process twice first, which I've done, but it didn't help :D I'm using O2 without GPRS enabled (it's not on the account yet) so I need the unlock-through-passthrough-connection technique :( Any thoughts? To save hijacking, I'm using the big OTA thread to track this rather than this one. Many thanks for any ideas anyone's got...
Guest pete1312 Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Sorry jonny, but I can't help you. Hopefully someone will in the other thread.
Guest jonnybarfo Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 No worries man, I'm sure I'll get there
Guest ginoisdabadboy Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 help me some one i need to decert my spv but i aint got a clue
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Best bet is to use Orange OTA decert now. Click the link for details.
