Guest m4rcus Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Hi, Is there any clever person out there that can write something that would allow the phone to become locked after a set period like some Nokias do? Also my last phone, which shall remain nameless due to it being so cr4p had a feature that allowed you to have the phone vibrate to begin with and then after a set perooid of time it would then ring. Anyone able to sort this? (Makes me wish I'd have followed the programming line at school.... ) Cheers Marc
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 You can already get the phone to auto lock Go to ProgramsSettingsSecurity this will enable a automatic lock that requires a password to unlock. Or the other option is to press the power button quickly so you get the quick list options, select Device Lock and you can set the auto lock time out there (it's the same as the security section) As for the second request may be an idea to add it to the Wish list section
Guest Simon Desser Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 As for the second request may be an idea to add it to the Wish list section :? It already does this, go to Settings, Profiles, Edit, Ring type and choose "Vibrate then ring" :) I find it goes to ring too quick, so here's a little tip 8) Make yourself a wav file as a ringtone. Insert say 10, 15 or 20 seconds of silence at the beginning. Choose Vibrate AND Ring in the settings, and you've got yourself a "Vibrate then Ring", with as long as you want before it rings :o (For those of us who aren't too confident at registry editing  )
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003  I was forgetting, I've only just finished work :) normally I check these things to double check my facts are right before posting sorry for any confusion.
Guest m4rcus Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Cheers the vibrate tips work just fine... even more so as I've chosen a Submarine sound (the warning one) for the ring tone, no hope of missing it ring, even with the roof out in the car :)
