SPV just hard reseted

my spv just hard reseted

has this happened to anyone else

im quite p*s*ed off now have to installed everything agian

Doing a HARD RESET removes all your installed application. It will reset the phone to its factory default and you are to install again your applications.

Installed a lot of apps recently (or any at all)? Reg tweaks, anything like that?

Yes it "just" happens from time to time. Good eh!

It's a type of auto recovery feature; if the registry has become corrupted (by an ap, tweak, or because someone looked at it in a funny way :) ) the phone deletes the current registry and restores the default.

If the phone didn't do this it would become unstable and potnetialy unuseable.

There are alot of things that I don't remember my old Nokia doing:

Full HTML internet, MP3 / WMA playing, video, etc, etc.......

Although it did crash a few times, like my SPV does! :)

semi hard reset on my phone earlier today. i switched it on and it came up with:

'install configure (or something similar)

check ipsm

check pass'

and that was my phone hard reset.

i think it was because i changed the backlight timeout to infinate and turned screensaver off while media player was playing

Sadly, that appears to be the general excuse for this phone......But look what it does......shame it does not do these things consistently well though!
