Guest kudosam Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 do i need to application unlock my orange phone to get on to the tmobile gprs? my phone is already network unlocked but not application unlocked. i tried to look for data connection settings for gprs and it seems there should be more options but some options like DNS server, username, password etc. are missing, they do not appear at all. what appears is below: -internet connection -work connectopm -wap connectopm -secure wap connection. any suggestions would be welcome. thx
Guest martin Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 Hi kudosam do i need to application unlock my orange phone to get on to the tmobile gprs? my phone is already network unlocked but not application unlocked. You don't need to application unlock the SPV to use another SIM (only network unlock), although I would still use the Orange OTA application unlock to fully utilise the phone capabilities. I tried to look for data connection settings for gprs and it seems there should be more options but some options like DNS server, username, password etc. are missing, they do not appear at all. You'll find these GPRS settings in the repository page2. Note you don't need username & passwords (or DNS) for T-mobile GPRS.
