Key pad lock problems on spv e100

when i lock the keypad on my e100 it works fine unless i leave it for more than half an hour or so. If its left for a long time with the keypad lock on i cannot unlock the keypad, if i click the left softkey it tells me to hold down the # key, which i do but after around 5 seconds it returns to the home screen and the unlock entry still appears above the left softkey. i cant power the phone down as the keys are locked so i have to flick the battery out and re-start, this is really annoying. does anyone know how to fix this problem ?

I can't replicate the problem but it sounds like you may have a sticking key :?

If no one else has any other suggestions I would say try a hard reset and see if

the problem is resolved, if it still continues it's time to get a replacement :)

Sticking keys have been reported before on the SPV and the E-100 is basically

the same phone.

ive now sorted this, it turns out to be a terminal case of RTFM

i was holding down the # key not pressing it in conjunction with the left soft key, works everytime now

:?: all you should need to do, is press the left soft key, release then press the # key.

Are you saying you have to press both at the same time? or am I reading your post
