Sync-ing at Work...

Hi All,

Just wondering if someone could help me.

I want to sync my phone with Ouklook at work. The Oulook at work is Outlook 2000 SR-1 (9.0.0.4527) Corporate-Workshop. Thing is do I have to install the Outlook I got with the phone (SPV) into my work computer or can I use the Outlook alraedy installed here? I can't install programmes on my computer at work as IT Admin dosen't allow it and I don't really want to let them know (i don't think they'll like me using work somputers for my personal phone). Other people at work have their (work) PDA attached to their computers so I was wondering if I can do the same with my SPV?

as long as you have active sync 3.6 or later installed it will work for you.

i tried this at my work but you need to be an administrator to install active sinc, and im only a power user :-(

How would I find out if I have Active-Sync 3.6? Are there spec details anywhere I could find on my work Outlook? Sorry, but am at work but feeling a bit dense...

Hi paddy_mcnulty. You can check to see if you have ActiveSync installed by firstly seeing if the following directory exists.....

C:Program FilesMicrosoft ActiveSync

(assuming C: is where it is installed, check for d: e: f: etc etc, you get the idea)
