Voice Mail Counter

Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question but on the homescreen, my voice mail counter does not advance past '1' (i.e. if i have more than 1 Vmail) Is that the same with all SPVs or am i doing something wrong?

Hi there,

welcome first of all.

And................ there are no dumb questions.

In the standard homescreens the counter should go on.

In a home build one also if the plugin is used in a good way.

So see (if you not al ready did) if you have the same problem in the homescreen which is standard on your phone.

With voicemail, AFAIK, the network only tells handsets that there are voice-mail messages waiting; it does not say how many have been recieved.

If thats the case then the vmail plug-in has no way of knowing how many messages you have waiting; because the network hasn't told it!

I haven't tried the vmail plug-in myself, so I could be wrong...

Machineman - thanks for getting back so quickly. I don't have any other homescreens installed that have a counter for Voice mails and am at work at present. Will look for other homescreens when get home.....

Maybe it is the service of the provider, in Holland I get to know how many voicemails I have but I don't know how that works in England :?

So it can be also that.
