Something weird happened to my smartphone!

When i turned on my phone it looks like it's installing something (I can't remember what was displayed on the phone screen). It took a little longer to boot that time. When i checked the list on the Remove Programs, it was emptied probably because of what happened during boot. I can still run all installed applications.

Questions:

1. Anyone who experienced this on your smartphone?

2. How am I going to uninstall applications when it is no longer in the Remove Program list but the application is still really in the phone?

Hi there,

WELCOME !!!

It is known that this kind of things happen with the phone. What how and why I don't know. :)

To uninstall those progs:

connect you phone to the cradle and open the explorer.

Go to ..mobile deviceyour smartphonestorage card or to ..mobile deviceyour smartphoneIPSMProgram Files

Here are the programs that you installed. On your SD card locate the folder.

just delete them now and you're done.

After that go to ....mobile deviceyour smartphoneIPSMWindowsStart Menu and remove the shortcuts

Hope it helps you.

Err No DO NOT do the above as the programs will not be uninstalled correctly and your phone will

be cluttered with junk files registry enteries etc.

If you want to remove a program and the entery has dissappeared from the Remove Programs folder for some reason,

all you have to do is re-install it first, then the remove option will be in the Remove Programs folder.

If I do this sometimes I get a folder with the number 2 behind it. I know that there will be some reg keys left but it wasn't a prob for me anyway.

btw i think the reason my phone reset was because i changed the backlight timeout settings, whilst watching a video in media player.
