Sound Levels dropping

I keep getting the problem whereby all my sounds will suddenly be very quiet, even if i go in and click execute on a .wav in explorer.

The only way to get the sound back to the proper levels is to restart.

Any ideas?

Checked your Earpiece volume? (Buttons on the side of the phone...)

Yep, I've had that before too. MP3s played really quiet, and no amount of tweaking with the earpiece volume controls, Windows Media volume controls or that Warwick Roberts volume control made any difference.

Reset sorted it - still a bit odd....

Keeps doing it, earpiece volumes make no difference. There's also a slight crackle at the start of playing the sounds, which doesn't normally happen.

I thought it was something to do with Smarttris because it always seemed to happen after I had run it, but now it just seems to be random...

I find that MP3's play too quietly, but you can double-up the volume if you have just made a call in speakerphone mode. Try calling yourself and then hold down the green call button until speakerphone comes on. Hang up and try listening to sounds again. I find this gives about 200-300% more volume. But it's a pain to do... is there an easier way?

P.s. also check the volume slider on the earphones!

I've been getting this problem too just recently,

Could be caused by anything on my phone though, cos I've just got a new 256mb SD card and installed everything afresh. It seems to happen after using WMP and / or PocketTV without using the headphones, then even all the menu popup sounds go quiet. Could it be that I had it too loud? (I've been showing off videos and music at work today :) )

I tried going back into all programs and system settings but just can't turn the volume back up anywhere! Only thing that works is a re-start, like Andy says.
