Guest t_t628 Posted August 8, 2003 Report Posted August 8, 2003 please help. how do i uninstall applications on my smartphone? thanks and have a nice day.
Guest t_t628 Posted August 8, 2003 Report Posted August 8, 2003 thanks randy. actually, my real problem is... i tried installing iacaller. it caused my phone to hang. message that i got was my storage was low. i did a hard reset, and then i later found out that a lot of files were written in ipsmwindows. these files are mostly msgqueue*.* some of the files are huge! over 1MB. i tried so desperately hard to delete them, but am not successful. any ideas on how i can get this done? help! help! help! =(
Guest spv_dman Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 You can't delete files from the Windows folder. If ever you did, it will come back when you reboot your phone. Try to free up some space by uninstalling some applications or remove files from your personal folders. Better yet, acquire an SD or MMC card if you think the 6MB+ storage of IPSM wouldn't suffice for your needs. :)

Guest Xander Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 maybe it's a bug in the OS. Somehow too many apps screws up the registry or something. Same thing happened to me. But what I did was uninstall some programs (around two or three) using the ActiveSync software and then the programs returned in Remove Applications.
Guest spv_dman Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 I suspect a particular application causes this. For one, I hate that Soyale SetTone. No offense to the author the application is kinda ok, but it forced me to do a hard reset since I cannot uninstall it (failed to remove program error). If a program like that can cause a problem, maybe some other uncertified progies makes other weird things to happen.
