Neil Enns, one of the key guys behind the Smartphone project, has posted the following note about an episode he and Ori Amiga (another MS dude) have recorded for MSDN TV.

The potential for .NET CF on SmartPhone looks awesome, so if you have any interest in what next generation Smartphone has to offer, you should check this out :)

Ori and I recorded a spot for MSDN TV last week that shows off how to use Visual Studio.NET 2003 and a next generation Smartphone device to build a ..NET CF application. I'm happy to report that today was the launch day for the video, and it's now available at http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdntv/episode.a...OA/manifest.xml.

If you've done .NET CF development before there won't be any earth-shaking new stuff to see, other than web service connectivity from a Smartphone. If you've never done .NET CF development before, I hope the demo gets you all

excited about writing managed code :o

We had a lot of fun putting together the segment, hope you enjoy!

Brody, I wouldn't panic about learning C. To be honest, I stay as far away from C as humanly possible! Pointers... man, they give me nightmares!

If you pick up VB.NET you'll be in great shape... C# is pretty darn close to VB.NET for a lot of things, so if you ever find you have to do C# work you'll be well on your way.
