help! I've had my phone a week and its crashed!

Hi guys I'm looking for some help and good news. I've had my phone a week I haven't had it connected to my pc yet or even used the camera I've only used it to telephone and text (a waste I know but I've been busy)

Yesterday it ran out of battery and now when I switch on it goes to the orange sunset screen only. The people at orange told me to take battery off then replace and put on charge and switch on whilst charging but to no avail please please someone with more brains help.

oh girly type... since the phone is new i would try a hard reset first, you will loose the data on the phone, but chances are since its new that wont be alot.

orange should replace it since its less than 14 days old if your not comforable doing a hard reset.

The hard resets easy enough though so id go for it. as i said you will loose saved data, contacts messages etc.

Switch the phone off. switch the phone back on but at the same time as pressing the power button press the voice record button (button nearest the power button)

a message will come up saying press any key to enter bootloader, press the action key (joystick)

Then using the action key select the erase ipsm option.

Wait till it comes up complete, then pull the battery out the phone, and replace, switch on the phone, and with luck your sorted :wink:
