Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted August 9, 2003 Report Posted August 9, 2003 Hi everyone, Another extremely off topic post from me.... I know there are a few people on the forum who are moving into nottingham to become students and probally some who already are. A friend of mine has 2 rooms avalible in his house (it's quite nice) and if he doesn't fill them, he may be forced to move out (can't pay the whole rent on his own). If you're interested call 01159503463 or 07855214752 for details. Thanks,
Guest vijay555 Posted August 9, 2003 Report Posted August 9, 2003 On a related note, if anyone else ever needs accomodation in Nottingham, (students or professionals), my parents let properties - PM me. V
Guest amo Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 MIght be interested. Your friend - male? female? age?
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 Male - 20yrs old. He's a product design student, so he'll be in the same building as you (and me!).
Guest fraser Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 Get him to put ads in newsagents. Every student town has a couple of newsagents with shop windows full of flats/rooms to let, find the popular ones and advertise there. I let out a room myself, it's really easy to get folk in, especially at this time of year. Also, he might have some luck with http://uk.easyroommate.com/, but they charge a membership.
Guest amo Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 Im definetly Interested Protozoa. Might be a couple of days though before I know for sure though so could you ask him if thats ok.
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 I'll call him in a sec. What happend to the flat off mansfield road?
Guest amo Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 Still got it in mind but its only one bedroom...so would be boring :/
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 Oh, he's got ADSL too! That's gonna be a good selling point! And a dishwasher - if only all students had one!
Guest fraser Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 Dishwashers are essential and mathematically sound. Proof: Time spent washing dishes per day: 30 mins Per year: 182 hours Minimum wage: ~£5/ph Yearly "cost": £912 Cost of dishwasher: ~£200 You get to "buy" back a large portion of your life. Well worth it.
