International Roaming SIM Card wont work in SPV

Hi I am in Hong Kong and have brought an Orange International Roaming Rechargable SIM Card and it works fine in my friends nokia but when I put it into my SPV Smartphone I get prompted to 'enter SIM unlocking code' I have not set a sim lock code and the nokia doesnt prompt for anything.

I have gone into the phone on my normal UK sim card and turned off all the security features I can find. It still prompts me for this code.

I need to use it ASAP and any advice would be great, its probably something stupid, like the user :-)

You need to SIM unlock the phone, the Nokia must already be unlocked.
