My thinking is that the delay has been due to the poor battery life offered by the 1.5 version, so hopefully we will just jump to something like a 1.55 version

It is a trade off... 1.3.5.7 being a bit clunky yet at least a couple of days between charges, or the smoother 1.5 version with less than one day between charges!

I wonder if they're doing a thorough job to make this the last one i.e giving us a proper sms character counter, gprs traffic counter (we can always hope), fix T9 memory problem etc etc etc

got to say i really disagree with all this battery life stuff on V1.50 - i have noticed no difference.

Still, it would be nice for O to give us some kind of statement. Even if it was " No, we do not plan to release an update in the near future" or " We are currently finalising the update, but plan to release it in the next 3 months" etc... Just something, instead of being totally silent. They will get a bad name among the users if they dont sort it

i'm surprised about how different the vanilla mitac is to a the HTC phones in terms of software etc... but no, qtek is doing the biz for me, except for the t9, but as i've said in a million different places:

e100 + 1.5 = 12-18 charge

e100 +qtek = 30 odd hours

Same phone, same battery...

V
