Date&Time settings error

Please help!

When I go to Settings - Date&Time, I get Error - The settings could not be opened.

I tried to look for the settings to just check it, but all I can find related to date and time is the clock.cpl.xml file (360B) located at windows directorz, created 6/12/02 and it´s read only file. When I run it, it will get the same error. Is possible, that some registry is damaged? My clock is running OK now, synchronisation of PC clock works, I just cannot access the panel to setup my alarm...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Tomas

This can happen with a corrupt phone, Have you run any updates? just wondering as I have only

seen this myself when I did an update a while back.

First of all try and power off the phone then on again.

If that does not work then you will have to do a Hard Reset :)

Yep it sound like its got corrupted :)

Similar problems were reported with the Telephony and Power settings (unable to open data) and the hard reset was used to recover it.

I don't know of any other way to rebuild just that part of the data.

Is there any way, how to backup whole data and restore it after hard reset?

I think, there must be some registry information about date&time or the whole control panel settings for date&time is missing. Is there any way, how to replace it? I cannot even copy the file out of the phone to a PC to see, what is in the xml.

I managed to replicate this error when I changed the Locale (in Regional Settings) a few times without changing it from GMT. Switching the Locale back to what I had in the first place allowed me to open the Date and Time settings again :?

Also some people have reported that un-installing Dockware Pro causes the error? http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...1521&highlight=

FANTASTIC!!! That´s it. When I changed "locale" to English USA, I can access date&time without any problems. Great help. Thanks a lot!!!
