SPV E100 does not power off

I just bought my brand new Orange SPV E100 a few days ago. I don't know what I have done, but now the phone does not power off. The screen shows the blue Smartphone 2002 background and stays on and does not go blank. I have to remove the battery for a few seconds and put it back in. The phone powers on without any problems. Please help!!!

try taking the battery out for 2 minutes and putting it back in.

otherwise try a hard reset
