Guest badboy4life Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 The problem i'm having is that if i modify an existing contact on the phone it is not sync'd with outlook on the computer. If i create a new contact on the phone it sync's fine. E.G. if i add a email or phone number to a contact then this will not appear on the pc (it is not deleted from the phone though). Same for if i change the name the original name is stored on the pc not the new one. I only realised this after i had to hard reset my phone so i lost a fair bit of information  And now i've tested it, by changing details and its still not syncing the modified information Help :!:
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Have you checked your Activsync settings? OptionsRules
Guest badboy4life Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 O yeah forgot to mention that:  Contacts are set to 'Syncronise all' I've set the rules to 'Replace on Computer' It used to be set to 'Replace on Device' but still the same problem. Any Ideas :?:
Guest M219569 Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 I think you are experiencing the same as me. I have no solutions but my guess is that any contact edits that you do after a power off/on are lost but any you make before the power off/on are synched OK. Also, you will find exactly the same with calendar items that are edited. I asked MS to look into it but the trail went cold after repeated mailings.
Guest badboy4life Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 I dunno about if its when the phone is turned off cos i hardly ever turn my phone off. I messed up my registry yesterday and so the phone half reset. When i synced it created a new partnership again so need to test if its working now.
