SPV E100 Unlock

I've seen a lot of posts regarding this subject. So could someone just qualify that I can SIM and Software unlock the above phone if I do not have an Orange Sim in it?

this is how i understand it (i may be wrong):-

You can sim unlock without an orange sim.

You can App unlock without an orange sim using a passthrough active sync connection.

BUT:

SIMunlock.exe is only compatible with .93, .97 and .98 versions of the bootloader

you'll need to downgrade your bootloader

find out which bootloader version you have by Power off the phone, press and hold the record button then power up the phone.

DO NOT press any key when prompted to and you will see the Canary screen, this will display your bootloader version.

downgrade your bootloader instructions:-

James he has an E-100 so it's bootloader V1.00 :)

So a bootloader downgrade is needed.
