Guest unclelimey Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Hi, I bought Metal Strike for my spv (canary) and the pc installer tries to install the cab file onto the phone but requires 9meg of space on the phone , it is impossible (i think) to make 9 meg free on the phone so therefore i cannot get the cab file onto the phone to install it onto my storage card, does anyone know a trick to help me install this game on my storage card... surely someone must be playing this game on their spv... thanks in advance
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Sound's like its a PPC version... (Incedentally, the Compal has 10 meg free internal storage :))
Guest unclelimey Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 i bought it months ago, it said at the time it was for the smartphone, now when i goto greatelsoft.com.. it says its for pocket pc..... oh well... perhaps i can contact handango for a refund :)

Guest Swift_gti Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Haven't got a clue why it would be saying you haven't got persmissions to install it, I copied it to my SPV yesterday and ran the cab's it installed like any other app, with 1.3.5.6 UK Rom :?: :?
Guest unclelimey Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 i finally got it to work on my spv
Guest dinoalbert Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 I installed it and indeed it runs on my Tanager :)
Guest unclelimey Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 is the metalstrike a demo on the mitac zip or is it full version? thanks in advance
Guest fraser Posted August 17, 2003 Report Posted August 17, 2003 Is it available for download anywhere?
Guest amo Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 No its not. It is a copyrighted game and is not available for free distribution, the same as Rebound. Although you didnt pay for them, it is still illegal to send them to anyone else as the game is copyrighted. The developers obviously make their money from aggreements with the network providers who supply the games for free in their roms.
