Guest FrankyG Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Not a biggie but a small timesaver; When choosing a homescreen, just press the first letter of the name of the theme and the selection will jump to homescreens with that initial letter. Same applies to the Background selection box, pressing 'D' takes me straight to the 'Default' image...saves a bit of scrolling anyway :)
Guest yoos Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 That's a great tip! Something that seems so simple, but I never knew... thanks!
Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 I believe that works on most multiple selection boxes. (Also works on most PC internet sites as well.)
Guest FragMeister Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Another time saver I found is to press the number button that corresponds to a softkey menu item. For example, when in your inbox and you want to send/receive email, you can press Menu [right softkey] followed by the Number 8 - as send/receive email is the 8th menu item. Similarly, to Delete is Menu,4. Little things I know, but once you get used to them it is the same as using the menu accelerator keys in Full Windows.
Guest drblow Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Tip for skinners - When testing xml on the phone, instead of switching homescreens to reload your latest test version, delete the xml file that is currently on screen via activesync, then copy in your new xml - when you go back to settings/homescreen, the selection box will have changed to the nearest default, so you can just scroll to your new xml to test, without having to load another screen in the meantime! Or, of course, choose the excellent new SPVue application from Deemon & Mrzap - and you can do it all on the PC screen!!
