hi,

About 3 weeks ago i used the orange OVA unlock thing to unlock my phone for using un certed software. Today someone rang me but my ringtone wasnt working...(it was coming from CHANGER SONNERIES)

so i triend to open changer sonnerie manually from the icon but it said, 'this is not a valid WIN CE app'....then i trierd all my other un certed apps and none of them opened...has my phone recerted itself??... has this been known to happen?? Im worried that my phone is cacked..any advice?

thanks

It has been known to hard reset without any user intervention but try a soft reset (restarting the phone) and see what that does?

Yea....i just turned the phone off and then on again and its alright now...strange...

The phone was on all night charging so would it have been able to hard reset while it was on?? and what causes it to hard reset??

Who knows what causes it (apart from doing it manually of course!)? Just a weird bug.

By the sounds of it you did not get a partial Hard Reset as a restart fixed the problem.

The probable cause may be that your SD card was not being recognised, one thing to try if

it happens again, eject the card then plug it back in again.

As for the cause this can be due to a few reasons

1, Dodgy XML code

2, Something wrong in the registry

The phone has a registry self repair feature, and if it decides you have something corrupt

it may try and self reair thus causing a Partial Reset and loss of decertification.

I had a low battery the other day and my phone re-certed itself. Once charged...it was fine again.

Something was shaky so I hard reset to clean up whatever funkyness was going on.
