Guest nikjensie Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Smartphone is based on Windows CE, what version of CE is it using? Nik
Guest squall Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 it doesnt use wince, it has its one version of windows called smartphone. (currently version 2002) you can get phones what run on wince - phone addition, but all these devides have touch screens, and are basically a palm, with a bolted on phone.
Guest Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 O2's XDA is a good example of a PDA with a phone attached
Guest vijay555 Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 based on windows ce: windows ce doesn't really exist now that they've changed the name, but it's a subset of what used to be PocketPC 2002 i guess, released after PPC 2002, but before PPC 2003. CE version: who knows, i think PPC2002=WinCE v 3. Not sure tho. V
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 I think its CE v3.x, but only as the "core" system. SmartPhone is then built around it. SmartPhone 2003 will be using WinCE 4.2 .NET (i think 4.2...)
