Guest mashkhan Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 The next update should make my phone metamorphosise into a E100  But I'd settle for the phone to be made more speedier
Guest squall Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 i have the e100, but i want better battery life. i think its about the same as my spv at the mo...
Guest drblow Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 That's an incredibly difficult list to choose from, coz basically I want all of those things!! & I'm suprised there have been no votes yet for the full phone backup facility, that was my 2nd choice after fixing GPRS. Probably a bit predictable I know, but what about a poll to see who thinks that list of features actually should have been part of our phones from day 1 - and our wishlist for the new update should be made up of great new sparkly ideas for new & exciting things - instead of a list of thgings which don't work, that we want to work. Know what I mean!?
Guest pete1312 Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 I'm suprised there have been no votes yet for the full phone backup facility, that was my 2nd choice after fixing GPRS. I've ended your surprise by voting for backup facility :) I'd really like ALL the suggestions though.
Guest Dylan Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Faster operation and less lockups for me please!!! Ah go on. you know that's what you want...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Alarm for me, saves me having to check all the time.
Guest cthulhu Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 Well.... For me, in order of time consuming annoyance.... 1 ) No GPRS Dialling hang. 2 ) T9 to actually remember stuff. 3 ) Ability to connect to POP3 server on demand, rather than fiddling with the menu item within Inbox.
Guest hk Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 Fix the GPRS dialling problems Delete all inbox items (SMS & Emails) Fix SMS counter Multiple email accounts Full phone backup facility Better battery life Always remember saved T9 words Faster operation & less lockups You should be able to multi select, theres a lot that this phone is lacking as a PDA, then again, its a phone :)
Guest casper508 Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 Faster Operations indeed but improved battery life has to be up there too. Cas
Guest goinnuts Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 permanent decert so every time i bugger my phone up i dont have to go through OTA precedure and then wait.
Guest jamesb1973 Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 For me, the single biggest letdown is the SMS handling on Smartphone devices. An intelligent Inbox would be really nice, possibly with customisable XMLs for the layouts so if you're a SMS user you can customise specifically for SMS rather than it being a spin-off of e-mail. What I mean by intelligent is: * SMS counter on by default instead of the CC field workround. * Ability to change font-size for compose and read for us partially sighted people (we don't want ALL fonts big, just certain ones - like compose and read) * Inbox list bug with date and time now showing properly * New / Reply function to display a compose screen appropriate to the type of mesage. * Better handling of failed messages, try keep resending a failed message - you give up after a very short while keep removing the message header. * Better alert mode, maybe flashing screen or change LED colour or flash period. * Repetitive SMS alert like the Samsung phone that can repeat the alert a few mins later as the vibrate function on the SPV is pretty lame. If you're in a noisy place (I work in nightclubs) you can't tell you've had a message for ages. * Inbox screen have better visual between new and read messages (an icon maybe for new) and drop the preview line in favour of the name being bigger, put the date and time on the second line instead. I could go on a bit more but I won't you can guess I don't really like the Inbox function but the rest is ok. Any comments? Thanks
Guest john newhouse Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 when the phone is keylocked and someone rings the phone quite often sticks on the call screen and does not go back to the 'home' screen. This is main boiler of my p***
Guest Crispy Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Basicly all of the bugs should be fixed. Among the improvements I find batterylife to be the most important thing... Currently I don't think Orange should concentrate on making the phone faster, but rather fix all the bugs!
