Guest Smartphilcon Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 is there any way to have the dates (birthdates, anniversaries) in your contacts appear automatically in the calendar? ...without having to sync and edit it in outlook?
Guest ppcsurfr Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 is there any way to have the dates (birthdates, anniversaries) in your contacts appear automatically in the calendar? ...without having to sync and edit it in outlook? Why do you have to edit it in OUtlook? All you have to do is synchronize it with Outlook via ActiveSync and it automatically embeds itself as a calendar item which will automatically be reflected in yor Smartphone's calendar... Guest Smartphilcon Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 nah... i meant without having to sync it in outlook... yun bang whenever you enter dates in your contacts nagrereflect kaagad sa calendar mo? o kelangan talaga magsync pa?
Guest grifter Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 you have to set a recurring item in your calendar.
Guest ppcsurfr Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 you have to set a recurring item in your calendar. This process will work if you have no intention of ever synchronizing our Smartphone with your PC. That is... if you still want to include it in the Contacts data... If you do this and you create a different entry in the calendar as a recurring item, you will end up with two entries after synchronization... well, a double entry isn't something you would want to have... So I guess the best way is to simply synch it with your PC... Mabuhay! ~ Carlo

Guest nbjune Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 or u could try Boma Date Reminder for smartphone u dont need to sync with your pc using it
Guest dinoalbert Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 Im using Boma Date Reminder but it wont automatically show the birthdays/anniversarries you input in COntacts. You have to input those dates manually with the Date Reminder Program. which is very tiring if you have many contacts. I wish to edit/add birthdays/anniversarries on my Contacts using my desktops Outlook and hope that this Date Reminder will automatically show them in the list, but it wont..... unlike the VBirthday program of my PocketPC :) or baka mali lang ang ginawa ko sa Date Reminder?
Guest nbjune Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 your right it doesnt and it takes space on the IPSM
Guest Smartphilcon Posted August 24, 2003 Report Posted August 24, 2003 yep, sana MS could make a fix on this para di na kelangang i-sync
