Resizing images

Hi,

I want to put a photo I took on holiday on my homescreen, but the photo is the wrong shape, so when I cut the size down to 176x200 the thing looks squeezed from each side.

What I want to know is how can I resize the image, so that it will fit on my phone screen and still looking normal?

The only way to resize the picture is to crop it to a ratio of 0.8 (you'll lose some of the edges) and then resize it to 176 x 220. It will then stay in proportion.

Yeah, but it's in the wrong ratio, so the pictures get distorted, therefore he needs to physically crop the image :)
