Guest Coucou Posted August 15, 2003 Report Posted August 15, 2003 I've just tried to access a website with some rather nice pictures of monica bellucci on   unfortunately it's an .shtml page and PIE presents it as a load of code, not really what I was after! is there any way to work round this or is PIE just not capable of viewing this type of website? Website I was trying to view is here but be warned - it's not porn but it might be described as page 3
Guest ashley.flynn Posted August 15, 2003 Report Posted August 15, 2003 hmmm im not entirely sure about this but i think shtml extensions usually mean that there is a CGI script included for the webserver to process before it gets to you, this wouldnt give you the results you're talking about. Other extensions such as aspx work fine so it is not that that is the problem either . There is a bug with some pages that always cause them to deliver nonsense content to the PIE browser. it is a setting on the web server itself that needs to changed. I would say that this is the most likely cause of the problem and the Shtml extension is incidental. Like i say, im not completely sure about this but i hope it helps Ash
Guest Coucou Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 cheers ash, I think i'm probably powerless to do anything in that case. never mind!
