well... I slapped this together using eVC++ registry example, and added a few things because it was lacking the full code for the backspace key. how annoying. Anyway, run this program from your smart phone, and you'll be able to quickly input the path to your startup and shut down images. Only spent an hour on it, I'll add some more features if anyone's interested..

Sorry if something like this has already been created, but MoDaCo has got so active now that it's a bit hard to read through everything. :)

err, I should also mention that the shut down screens don't work for me! Possibly the current rom I've got... or the program itself. oops.

Has anybody figured a way around the shutdown screens not working yet??

They're the only screens I haven't got! :x Except obviously the stupid orange sunset screen. Let's make a prize fund for the first person to skin it!!?? :)

I'm pretty sure that the shutdown screen success depends on the ROM version of the user. I have experimented with it whilst developing the smoothcreen v.1 homescreen (see my signature for the link to it!) and have also read the whole of Midnight's AI2 topic and this seems to be the case :?

I haven't got a clue how they're gonna do it, because if they're messing around with the original image, then they will have found a way of cracking the other problems we have as well. Like the app certification. Or perhaps they've found another way...

sigh. Has it worked for anyone else then?

Works fine for me, put the picture here: IPSM // My Documents // My Pictures

And entered the path like this: IPSMMyDocumentsMy Picturesslackware.gif

I use the latest Danish update - and the shutdown screen doesn't work. It didn't work with the AI theme either.

Recently had the Qtek update on my phone, and that worked with shutdown screens, so I spose this tool would work as well! Great tool...

Edited - just slap a nice icon on it .. I hate seeing that white/blue box *wink*
