Guest DMF Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 This project went off without a hitch..... despite someone on the forums here talking about interference from the car radio. Orange SPV --> Headphone Adapter --> Headphone cable to Cassette Adapter --> Car cassette player. Just left it on Media player while it ran thru the choonz - very spik if i say so myself, hours of fun - and into the bargain ive got a small lens from an old gameboy to put in front of the screen - i can now watch films with it in the car - SWEET - just need to know how to keep the backlight on. darn annoying to have to keep pressing the button every 60 seconds - the setting for "never turn off" doesnt seem to work. Other than that tho - im very very happy - a decent mp3 player on its own is a steady £120 :) Costs: SPV Headphone adapter £15 inc postage Headphone to Car Cassette Adapter £10 off ebay inc postage 256 SanDisk SD Card £50 off ebay inc postage
Guest Brody Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 Try using PocketMVP and converting your video's to DivX, then hit 7 to keep the backlight on :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest DMF Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 At the moment thyre just mpegs in media player, i would have a clue about converting full films into any format let alone reduce them into whatever size... I figured some1 would have posted some films by now.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 I figured some1 would have posted some films by now. Err no as that would be copyright infringement and that comes under our piracy rules.
Guest PsychoDave Posted August 17, 2003 Report Posted August 17, 2003 But there are plenty of guides of how to do it yourself and it's pretty easy. After a couple of tries I had it sussed and there was no stoppin me. Try the artices folder or do a search for divx & virtualdub. I would do it for you but I'm at work and pretty lazy :)
Guest PritenC Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 If you want tot keep the backlight on i've found that if you use orneta notepad select keep backlight on (FILE->Misc->Keep Backlight on) it stays on, even if you close orneta
Guest succorso Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I have seen many devices like this that let you broadcast from your mp3 player/phone to an fm station. Don't know how it connects to the phone but there are many products like this. Succorso
