Guest NederSoren Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Any difference between this and this: http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=88943 ?
Guest moomoomoo Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 This is a pretty sweet idea, although it may not be as simple. Firstly, in terms of activesync's API calls that can be used from VB, I don't think there's a way to set the registry settings for the screens before hand. There could of course be a one-time installer, which could set the paths to /IPSM/Startup1.gif etc etc or something, and the tool could then replace these images at the users request. Secondly, buffering an image to be transfered to the SPV through VB is pretty hard, and in some cases fails in which case the SPV usually has to have a soft reset in order to gain access to the file to delete it. Without resetting, in my experience it simply says the file can't be deleted. Having said that, using my tool is equally as hard, because the images have to be copied over and set manually. Duh... Well anyway, I code in VB as well, and have tried something like this. I'll clean it up and release it.
Guest TheCardinal Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 you have a point there. thats why im still looking for a work around on how to properly implement this. this is my first project in using RAPI in VB :)
