Guest PalmBeer Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Afternoon, I've been having a lot of trouble getting the application lock off my SPV. I've repeated the process about 50 times and every time i get stuck at the same part: 13. Arrange the two 'Windows Explorer' windows and the Activesync window on screen so you can see them all. 14. When your SPV switches from the Orange Sunset to the blue SmartPhone logo screen, wait a few seconds and then put the phone in it's cradle. 15. ActiveSync should see the phone after about 20 seconds. When it has made it's connection, copy the two altered PROVXML files into the SPV's 'Mobile Device/My Smartphone/Windows' directory window that you have open. Problem is my Active sync won't recognise the phone anymore after i put it back into the cradle, not when i wait 5 secs after the blue screen, 10 secs or 0 secs. I have to unplug the phone from the cradle again after it's fully powered up to get an active sync connection and then it also recognises it as a new device so I have to create a new relationship. Therefor i'm never in the opportunity to copy the edited file to the windows dir. I have the latest updates (1.3.6.2) and am using a dutch orange network. I've also tried the autodecert file but again since it doesn't get connected through active sync it can't copy the file. If anyone can help me I'd be forever in your debt :) Thanks in advance!!! Greetz, PalmBeer
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 As you have the software version 1.3.6.2 you need to decert via the Orange Developers Site. Click on OTA for more details on how to do this, including a link to the Developers site :)

Click on http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?t=22908>OTA for more details on how to do this, including a link to the Developers site :) I tried this, I keep getting the message that my phone number and IMEI aren't registered. I downloaded the Action Register file from the site too, after running it I got the message that my phone was registered, but alas when I tried again it still said it wasn't registered. This was 2 days ago now.. I'm beginning to lose hope here, any thoughts?
Guest PalmBeer Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 HHmmmzzz... now i cant even get on the GPRS network anymore.. Since i can't believe that flashing my phone (with the canary menu and choosing option 8) will reset settings on the network there has to be something wrong in my hone now as well as the fact that my phone number and imei won't register on developers.orange.com. I'm really desperate here, If someone can / is willing to help me PLEASE
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Have a read of this post (first post) http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=25600 Also if you are having GPRS problems, try using the passthrough option instead.

First of all, thanks for all the replies! I've checked that thread while I was at work (i've just got back home) and checked my settings. I managed to get online through GPRS again (seems that flash erasing my phone also changed the GPRS settings). NEways, while I was in the train back home I downloaded Action Register, installed it. It said Action Lock is Running and the Phone is registered, after that I made another GPRS connection but the problem still remained. My phone number and IMEI are unknown. Any idea's? (P.S. If someone who can help me has MSN or ICQ that'd be AWESOME) Greetz, Palm (MSN: [email protected] ICQ: 82516206)
