Guest sid Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 could you give me more details about the unlimited gprs package please
Guest TalkingConcepts Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 The promotional unlimited GPRS access pack alows you to use unlimted internet and email for just £6.00 per month. It is compulsary to have this option when buying an SPV - Mind you, it wouldnt really be worth buying the phone without it!
Guest cvdbl Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 Are SPV without service contract available through this channel? If so, what would be the cost? Thanks, C.
Guest Terry Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 I have been trying desperatly to buy an orange spv phone since october 28th, but no luck as yet, it seems that orange never released the phone at all, or are out of stock all the time on their website, but yet others seem to have managed to get them!!! how ?? and where ? I would prefer the sim free version if possible.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 PM the user 'TalkingConcepts' they have stock, and can source SIM Free units too. P

Guest okocha10 Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 how much would u sell an unconnected spv for??
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 okoach10 - Please PM the user 'TalkingConcepts' to confirm offline prices. P
Guest spikex Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 http://www.etccomms.co.uk has an Orange SPV on various tariffs but the cheapest one that I have found is £89.99 for the phone and £12.99 for the line rental (Orange Value Promise - Vodafone 20). That works out to be about £245.87 for the first year (excluding any extras and talk-time).
Guest almark Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 Don't forget the GPRS £6 per month deal which brings it up to £317 per year.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 Err no the £6 GPRS deal is until 30th April so then how much you are going to pay is up to you.
Guest almark Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 I haven't bought one yet! Still thinking about it. So the unlimitied deal is only up to April and then you choose a tarrif: "The purchase of the SPV phone is subject to connection to the SPV promotional pack. It provides 10MB web browsing a month, email and access to a great range of information and entertainment services (terms and conditions apply) and costs £6 per month on top of your existing Service Plan. The pack can be purchased until 31st March 2003 and runs until 30th April 2003. At the end of the promotional period you will automatically be changed onto an equal or lower priced GPRS bundle with a megabyte cap." I think the cheapest one will be £4 per month, with a mere 500k download allowance!
Guest wolfe Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 I live in Boston, and I just bought an SPV for myself. Talking Concepts was great at talking me through what I was going to get, and making sure that the phone got out to me! I would definitely order from them agian... John Wolfe
Guest Megalos Posted February 9, 2003 Report Posted February 9, 2003 hello Paul I have send a pm and waiting for an answer has newbie pls :)
Guest simon11 Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 I Had one and took it back. Battery life terrible with no off position for the backlight. Plus other bugs. Hanging etc. etc. Thought I might get one after the English update if it fixed the bugs. After finding out the price of GPRS after the offer I am now not going to bother at all. The phone is only worth having with unlimited access. I am going to stay with O2 I only pay £15.00 a month with 100 free minutes. I will probably buy the Erricson p800 when I can get one. At least the Erricson comes bug free I believe and dose a darn sight more. Microsoft want to pull their finger out with such crap software! Did I read your stock level wrong. 1x spv?
