Guest greg7901 Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Now and again (but becoming scaringly frquent) my spv receives no txts all day...and no calls..which is odd as i normally get a lot. So i turn it off and on, and it comes with a load of messages that shuld have been delievred hours and hours ago. Its like the phone part turns off without sayin anythin. I have to do this almost once a day...its annoyin...i shuldnt have to reboot my phone jus 2 receive txts! I did a hard reset last week...and it hasnt cured it :)
Guest squall Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 do you have contacts on your sim card or on your phone?
Guest Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 This could also be a network problem - I've had this happen on various networks with various handsets. Your phone can be showing full signal but the network doesn't have the capacity to connect the calls. Phone Orange and ask them if there is any part of the network down in your area.
Guest greg7901 Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 contacts are on phone...altho there are some on the sim too and im on O2...and their service is dodgy round here at the best of times...so maybe its that
Guest squall Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 try importing messages from sim. if you do this and find you get messages, try moving all contacts to the phone. otherwise sounds like network
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 O2 has been dodgy as hell for me (sending and receiving) for years. I still get delays receiving from O2, usually you can kick start it by sending an SMS. Either way, it's been the same on my past 3 handsets, definately a network issue. NB: if you call CS about SMS problems all they'll tell you is that "they can take up to 24 hours to be delivered". Not particulary useful, as it would presumably take them 24 hours before they noticed any issues with their service, and then a further 24 at least to resolve. Hmm...
