Unlocked phone :: but an error running unsigned apps?!

I have unlocked my spv and am using it with t-mobile w/out any problems. however, when I try to install a few apps noted around the forums (e.g. thermometer app & x-bar) I get an error complaining that the app I am trying to run is not digitally signed. I have tried running them from either the card or IPSM but same result? Can anyone shed any light in my dim life?

When you say unlocked and using Tmobile I presume you only mean SIM unlocked and not

application unlocked which you need to do to run unsigned software. for more information just

click on OTA :)

you are abs. right. reading thru' the small print it does say the phone has to have an orange sim in it to perform the OTA unlock - has this been proved (I dont have an Orange sim!!)

Where has this been proven? I used OTA just a few weeks ago on an SPV with a Vodafone SIM, no trouble at all. Of course you have to SIM unlock the thing first, but you have already done that.

I never said anything about needing an Orange SIM to decert

all I mentioned was that buy the sounds of things you have SIM unlocked but not application unlocked.
