Alarm Problem, Please Help Before I Get The Sack!!!

Hi all,

For a while now i have been using the spv as my alarm clock since my other one died! at first i had the problem of it only playing the sound once, i then set it to increasing, this solved the problem, so why would it have gone back to only playing the sound once again, i have checked and the alarm notification is still set to increasing, i don't want to reall have to do a hard reset as it will take me ages to put everything back on my phone!!!
