Guest morpheus2702 Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Yeah I mean that its not as if your future success and financial status in the world is on the line? Trust me, 10 years on you will find that no-one will take any notice of GCSEs.

Guest b1uepower Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 hmm... English Lang = B English Lit = B Maths = B ICT = B Business = B Geog = B Science (double award) = CC History C Not the best set of results... there a hell lot better then mine..
Guest ClintEastman Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Ah those were the days!! Good work, but as morpheus said, not long till you don't even remember what you got!! (I member i got 9, i think) :)
Guest Coucou Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 Well done to all who passed, I remember mine well! (Oh god, was it really ten years ago?) Trust me though - people look at whether you got GCSEs, not what grade they are. Generally I mean. And they don't even ask if you go on to get A-levels. They're only an indicator, not the be all and end all.
Guest moomoomoo Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 well, the government have really cocked up everything with AS levels. Too much work in too little time - the results at my school were terrible!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 AS levels are the biggest joke since sliced bread. Imho the whole education system is dated and needs to be redesigned from scratch.
Guest morpheus2702 Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 I was the first year to do GCSEs. I did O levels a year early before, and compared to O levels GCSEs were a piece of piss. I think they gave someone a G in English simply for writing his name... after all, it was a response.
Guest amo Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 AS levels are the biggest joke since sliced bread. yeah sliced bread is so funny :)
Guest morpheus2702 Posted August 21, 2003 Report Posted August 21, 2003 My mate's wedding was the best when the best man said 'Richard thinks his wife is smart... its a shame he doesn't know that HND stands for Has No Degree.'
Guest ajb3000 Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 I got 7A's, 3B's and 1C for GCSE. However my AS and A2 results were a complete joke, mainly due to the incompetance of my teachers.
Guest morpheus2702 Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 Yeah I said the exact same thing at the time. My parents just wouldn't believe that incessant late nights, alcoholism, recreational drug use and whoring had nothing to do with it.
Guest ashley.flynn Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 GNVQ = Generally not very qualified
