I am just wondering...

…how come that 2 or more, identical phones act in different ways……..the reason for wondering is the following:

I have always (as far as I can remember) been missing my “line is busy” tone when I’m calling another number (and the number is busy)

Some times the ”pling” sound in the pop-up menu is missing, sometimes it is VERY loud and sometimes it is low…

and other issues as well..

Now my real “question” is: If the hardware is the same and the software (in my case I use the Danish software) is the same in all phones (well almost)….how come that some see the above problem and some don’t…….

..and how come that some days the phone works as it should and other days it dosen’t (like the above mentioned “pling” thing)..

I know that it might be because of some of the software which has been installed later, that might "conflict" with the phone, but the above mentioned problems has always been there, from the very beginning even though I have upgraded the software and made several hard- resets of the phone. I even had it in for “repair”, where they actually just installed the software again, but the failures was presented after a few weeks….again…

I've never missed the busy line tone...

The clunk sound volume is dependant on the earpiece volume, which probably explains its differing levels.

DOOOHH :oops: I didn't know the thing about the clunk sound and the earpiece volume (even though it seems obvious) ... and even though I have played (like others) ALOT with the phone.... well thankx for the hint Mono :wink:

regarding the busy line tone...I have actually asked about this before here in this great site...but it seems that not many (if any) have heard about this problem before....well anyway I now by know that when the phone cuts of by itself during my call it means that the line is busy....but still I would rather like to hear the busy line tone..

but still I am wondering.......does this phone have a life of its own...I'm beginning to think so.....
