02 payasyougo WAP access

Hi all,

I'll admit i am new user to the SVP phone. I have an 02 online SIM card which offer 300 wap minutes and 300 sms messages a month. I used to have a Sony J5 phone and it was pretty easy to setup the phone so I could access WAP. But I have no clue with the SVP where i even start. I know that its most likely to do with the Data Connection section but these setting are full of Orange options.

Could someone possibly give me a step by step guide in how to set up my SVP to use the 02 SPAM WAP access?

I am aware of the settings posted in a previous thread :

O2 settings for prepaid

Create proxy

Description : O2 WAP proxy

The Internet, WAP Network, 193.113.200.195, WAP

Create GPRS connection

Description: O2 WAP

The Internet, payandgo.o2.co.uk, payandgo, password

Create Dial Up connection

Description: O2 CSD

The Internet, 44, 7712, 927927, o2wap, password

In data connection make

Internet connection=O2 CSD (uses HTTP for HTML & WML pages)

WAP connection = O2 WAP or O2 CSD (uses WSP for WML pages)

In Internet explorer, tick 'Automatically detect settings'.

but I have no idea how i am supposed to enter these or where :)

Welcome lewman.

Its quite easy to do.

Goto Programs-Settings-Data Connections

Menu-Edit Connections

Click on dialup connections, Menu-Add

(Create a new dialup connection for O2).

Done - Done

* Same for proxy connection

* Same for GPRS connections

Go back to Data Connection main screen and change the Internet/WAP connections to O2.

Goto Internet Explorer

Menu-Options, Connections

Tick 'auto detect settings'
