Hi there

It is still not working and driving me mental now.

I have done a hard reset so it is "out of box" and whenever I connect it to the Cradle it switches to the CAR profile and refuses to be found by my PC. It is not even in my Device Manager to delete.

Please help before I throw it out the window hehe

Hi there

No I didn't. I installed ActiveSync and then plugged in the phone via the Sync Cable. And during the connection process ( which I have to manually start ) it searches thru all the ports and doesn't find my phone...

What would happen if i buy an infra red hook-up would that be any better?

Many thanx

Yes I did

It just doesn't recognise my phone is plugged in. I have tried Orange Tech Support and they are about as useful as a wet fish.

Please could someone help.

Would it work fine if I bought an infra red transmitter for my PC, would ActiveSync pick that up?

Try starting ActiveSync on you phone....

Also... that searching for device thing in Activesync is pretty useless..makes a lot of noice. What you can try is connect the phone when "Searching for Device" .. i.e keep it disconnected until then.

I have tried using ActiveSync on my phone and plugging in the phone when it is "Searching For Device" but nothing happens. Its as if my phone isn't connected at all....

Would using an Infra Red hook-up work better?

Not "better" but it should work if all else fails. Be warned as it is slow and connections are lost easily
