A friend of mine gave me a link to a website and looking round i came across this

It's against OFTEL & ICTIS regulations to send unsolicited SMS text messages to numbers registered with the TPS. To stop SPAM being sent to your mobile, register by ringing 08450 700 707 or online at www.tpsonline.org.uk

yeah it is not allowed, but theres not a lot that can be done to stop it, these services tend to pop and die away real quick.

best defence is awareness... if you recieve a message from someone you dot know try typing it into a search engine, see if others have it to...
