Network environment setup, SPV to emulator

Hello folks,

I am playing with sockets atm and I am having a bit of fun as I have one SPV and 2 PC's

I have the SPV set to 'pass through' sat in its cradle ( I beleive that it takes the IP of the host PC in this case) - I have the emulator running on the other PC - what is the IP addy of the emulator likely to be? It doesn't seem to be the same as the host PC.

Any help/sdvice on how to set things up would be much appreciated.

From what I've seen, the phone will have the same IP as the host PC

Also, when connecting over GPRS, all phones (on orange, anyway) have the same IP (of one of Orange's servers, I assume), so incoming connections to the phone would be impossible

As I see it, the only way to do networking stuff is to have a central (PC) server to which all the smartphones connect
