Some questions about SPV E100

Hi,

I just get a SPV E100. But it's an English version, and I'm French !

I've changed the language and regional settings to French : that's OK.

But now I would like to do the following :

- The hour on main screen is 12-hour format : how to change it to 24-hour ? (if I change the main screen disposition, sometimes I get the 24-hour format...)

- Default links for internet on main screen are for English web sites : how to modify them to French ones ?

- How to install a file ".cab" containing customized themes ?

- How to save the SMS texts of my old SPV and transfert them to my new SPV E100 ?

If you changed your phone's regional settings from 12 hour to 24 hour then you need to change the format in the homescreen XML that you are using. Edit it with notepad and change the time format from 12 to 24 in the appropriate carrier or time/date plugin.

- Default links for internet on main screen are for English web sites : how to modify them to French ones ?

Editing the same XML file...you can change the links in the appropriate shortcut plugin.

- How to install a file ".cab" containing customized themes ?

Add the cab to your SD card..navigate there using an Explorer program on your phone and run it. Or, add the cab to your IPSMWindowsStartMenuAccessories folder via ActiveSync Explorer. Then, on your phone click programs, accessories...and the cab file to install.

- How to save the SMS texts of my old SPV and transfert them to my new SPV E100 ?

Not 100% sure about this one...but I think you can copy the IPSMMAPI files from your SPV and paste them onto your e100 in the same folder.

By the way...for the first two responses....if you are using a standard, pre-installed homescreen, you would need to copy the file from your windows directory...edit it...and place it in your IPSMApplication DataHome directory as a new homescreen or it will be overwritten when you reboot the phone.

Other question now :

I also have a keyboard for the SPV E100.

I would use it, but it seems it needs a software to work.

When I go to Orange update, I didn't get this software proposed as download.

What can I do ?

Try plugging in the keyboard....then go to orange update.
